Block Lamp

Designed by Harri Koskinen, the Block Lamp is a modern classic that became a hit worldwide. This lightbulb-shaped lamp was first introduced in 1997 and became part of the permanent collection of the MoMA in New York. This piece won several awards, including the Excellent Swedish Design award in 1998.

The Block Lamp is an experimental take on the traditional desk lamp. It is made of two hand-cast glass blocks that are wrapped in a textile cord. The textile cord is sandblasted to give the bulb a matte finish. The parts are then hand cooled.

Iittala

Designed by Finnish designer Harri Koskinen, the Iittala Meno bag has many functions. Firstly, it’s a practical and elegant travel companion. Second, it serves as a decorative home storage solution. Svenskt Tenn

During our recent trip to Stockholm, we stopped by the iconic Svenskt Tenn. This upscale Swedish design store is located in Strandvagen 5. We loved it because of the colourful world of Svenskt Tenn, which combines handicrafts with business sense. Each room has a different theme.

Svenskt Tenn was founded in 1924 by Estrid Ericson and Nils Fougstedt. They are both highly respected creative geniuses. They were also known for their famous Bergmans. The store is located near the Royal Stables, the Royal Dramatic Theatre and the Hotel Diplomat.
